Fire Station Activity Book and Playset: Book Buddies Review

I really do love reading and so does Isabella but there’s something a little magical about being able to play with the book too for a three year old. The Parragon Fire Station Activity book and Playset we received a few days before Christmas was brilliant. It kept Isabella and her cousin entertained for hours as they coloured the book in together and played fireman.

This is a great activity book and even though the fire engine and fire station are only made of card, it’s quite robust and can withstand a slightly heavy handed pre-schooler no problem.

At first I couldn’t find any instructions to actually assemble the fire engine and station as I had given Isabella the book to occupy her whilst I built; however, upon opening the book… there on the first page were the instructions! Oops. It wasn’t actually too hard to piece together but I have ended up using sellotape to hole the wheels on as they kept popping off.

The actual book has lots of activities, from drawing, colouring and counting to spot the difference, matching activities as well as a story throughout.

The illustrations are bright, colourful and very engaging and there are very clear activities set out. There are some activities that are harder than others so it will suit a wide range of children’s ages and abilities. Obviously Isabella is too small to be able to draw the dog properly but she still had lots of fun.

This is a great little set and would make a really lovely gift too.
