Spot A Lot Vehicles Jigsaw

Paragon Book Buddiesspotalot

Isabella is a keen book worm and loves to read stories at every opportunity (being an English teacher, this is also something I am passionate about) so when I had the chance to become a Parragon Book Buddy, I was thrilled.

Being a Book Buddy means that I will be sent a book once a month to review. In Isabella’s eyes, this is great as she will get a whole new set of books as the year develops.

We were sent the book ‘Spot A Lot Jigsaw: Vehicles’ to review in August (slight delay in this post as we had a Royal Mail Issue!). However, once we opened the book, Isabella was delighted. She had such fun trying to spot all of the different vehicles and characters throughout the story, especially the little sausage dog. She also enjoys the rhyming element to the story (I think this makes it more pleasurable for her as well as being catchy and easy to remember).

The illustrations are bright and vibrant although to make finding the vehicles a little trickier, each scene is quite repetitive in terms of colours used and the vehicles in each scene; this makes finding things more fun and challenging as the child actually has to try!

As well as being a lovely story that engages your little one in conversation about vehicles, it also reinforces number skills by getting the child to count in sequence up to 10.

As a bonus feature, this book comes with a puzzle with over 30 pieces which includes the vehicles from the story. It’s quite tricky to work out for a three year old but certainly doesn’t stop my little one from trying. With a little bit of help, Isabella is more than able to put the puzzle together and loves looking at the pictures.

On the back of the puzzle there is the same puzzle but a colour-in version. We haven’t tried this yet as I want to save it until Isabella has more control and less scribble action going on! But this book really has a lot to it.

This particular edition is available from: Easons, Mattalan, TK Maxx and The Works RRP is £7.99 but it’s available for just £4 at the moment! I love a good bargain!
