BabyBjorn We Carrier

DOTS2
BabyBjorn launched their new carrier, the BabyBjorn We (suitable from birth to 3 years) and Isabella and I were lucky enough to be invited along to the launch to give it a spin.

We arrived to a beautifully set up room decorated with their limited edition ‘DOTS by Karin’ (which I must admit, I’ve totally fallen in love with! Good job I’m expecting again!). We were welcomed in with delicious breakfast treats and coffee and Isabella got to try out the BabyBjorn cups and plates too!

As soon as we arrived, Isabella honed in on the demonstration baby used to simulate a real baby’s weight in a carrier and we both tried on the new We carrier for size. It’s incredibly comfortable and light weight and the perfect size (for me – Isabella struggled a little!). We have previously reviewed the BabyBjorn Active (which you can see here), but the new We carrier is designed to be used on both your front and your back which is perfect as now Isabella is a little heavier, I couldn’t carrier her on my front but when the new baby arrives, I’ll be able to chop and change depending on the circumstances and only need one carrier!

It’s simple design means that it’s easy to put on and take off and (once you’ve seen how) it’s simple to change from a front to back position with your child still inside the carrier! The design itself has been simplified from earlier models which, not only brings the price down making it a very affordable option, but it makes it more user friendly too. Only one side opens up (we didn’t tend to open both sides of our last one to be honest) and there is a really simple zip system inside to transform the size of the carrier from baby to toddler.

The carrier has been well thought out and boasts a head support so you can use this with newborns without worry all the way through to toddlerhood!

As I am expecting, I haven’t been able to put this to the test as much as I would have liked but Daddy has been giving it a go for me and really loves the support he gets with the waist belt. I really can’t wait to try this out with a newborn too (I’ll add an update when I can!).

Whilst at the event, we also got to try out the baby bouncer (I NEED AN ADULT VERSION!!!) and had a demo of their travel cot too.

The baby bouncer can actually be used as a chair once baby has grown out of the bouncer stage so it’s an investment from 0-2 years. Isabella fell in love with this bouncer and so did I.

I can’t wait to take a closer look at some of the other products available from BabyBjorn when the time comes. I’ll keep you posted on my thoughts.
