Frugi Family Christmas Surprise: Review

I know I say this every post, but that’s because it’s true; I love being part of The Frugi Family and this Christmas they have spoilt us by sending through a little surprise for Isabella.

Being a part of the Frugi Family, we usually get the chance to choose a beautiful piece of clothing from Frugi’s new season to review and put to the test. This Christmas, to do things a little differently, Frugi sent us all a surprise parcel and I couldn’t wait to see what was inside.

I’m not sure who doesn’t like a surprise! When the package came, I got straight to opening it up and loved the beautiful Sofia Skater Dress as soon as I set eyes on it. It wasn’t just me who fell in love with it. Isabella was so overly excited when she saw it – she stripped out of her school uniform and instantly went to try it on to see how big the ‘twirl’ is.

The Forest Friends pattern is so sweet and fits perfectly with the Twinkle Toe tights. The thing I love the most about the pattern is that it’s not too childish but still has a wonderfully playful design.

As always, the 95% Organic Cotton 5% Elastine material is super soft and snuggly which makes it easy for Isabella to move around in. She would quite happily wear this dress from now until Christmas and she’s even decided she’s going to wear this dress to her nativity (she’s a narrator).

What I love about this dress is its versatility for any occasion; you can dress it up for a party or keep it more casual for a play in the park. As well as being practical and comfy, it’s got a wonderfully girly swirl. This would be Isabella’s favourite part! She will swirl and twirl all day long if she could.

The dress has popper fastenings at the back which are easy to use; they don’t look as pretty as buttons perhaps would but these make getting undressed a lot easier for Isabella to do by herself.

My only point to note with this item is that for the first time in my experience with Frugi, this item comes up a little smaller than usual. While the 4-5 fits, there’s not a lot of room for growth which I find unusual for Frugi.

Frugi clothes always wash well for me and I’ve never has a problem with them fading or shrinking and the Sofia Skater dress is no different.

As a thanks for following my Frugi Family project over the last year, we’ve teamed up with Frugi to offer you a chance to win this fab Frugi Christmas Hamper. All you have to do is click here  and enter your details to be put into the draw- it’s easy! The competition is open from today until Thursdays 15th Dec at midnight. The winner will be drawn on Friday 16th Dec and contacted by Frugi via email, they will then pop the hamper in the post in time for Christmas.

We really loved our surprise this Christmas, thank you Frugi! If you’d like to see more, why not see what Donna received over at What the Redhead said.
