Frugi Family Swimwear review

It is of course no surprise by now for regular readers that I am a part of the lovely Frugi Family (and what a fantastically organic family they are too!). Having recently blogged about their gorgeous organic cotton summer pyjamas, we are now going to be showing off Frugi’s exciting brand new swimwear range along with Benjamin’s summer ready legs!I was a little concerned that we may have to just use a ball pit for the photos this time round with the crazy weather we’ve been having but we had such a gorgeous weekend that we broke out the paddling pool and got stuck in.

I decided to try out the gorgeously cute board shorts instead of the full body suit as I thought we’d get more use from them. I was instantly attracted to the fab all over sharkies print and I love the deep colours too. I went for the lighter colour shorts with the darker pattern as I thought it would might cover any muddy/sandy bottom stains better as Benjamin spends a lot of his time falling on his bum – I think it covers quite well!img_4852-1.jpg

The board shorts are made from 100% recycled polyester and have a UPF 50+ rating which is perfect for delicate skin. They are brilliantly buy keflex online cheap quick drying and mean that Benjamin isn’t toddling around with a soggy bottom when he’s playing. They are mesh lined which is perfect for helping to keep nappies in place too and uses an elastic waist band and a drawcord for a comfy and flexible fit.

As always, Frugi’s attention to detail is ever present. The drawcord is in a contrasting and bright red which is laced through two additional fabric tabs. This ensures the elastic waistband isn’t obscured and therefore the fit isn’t compromised but they retain their board shorts look. Benjamin seemed really comfortable in these board shorts and I loved the overall length, fit and colour; the longer length means more protection from the sun and also from scraped knees but also add to the cuteness of the ‘surfer dude look’.The quality of Frugi is always fantastic and these board shorts are no exception. They wash well and feel soft on the skin, are quick drying and well made. What more could you possibly want from a pair of board shorts for the summer? These shorts retail at £19 and are worth every penny in my eyes. Why not head over to What the Redhead Said to see what swimwear she’s showing off?
