Kokoso 100% natural and organic coconut oil

Kokoso 100% Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is becoming more and more popular in the beauty and skincare market but if you read the label on most products, they aren’t 100% pure coconut oil and usually have perfumes and other nasties hidden inside. This is where Kokoso is different; it really is just 100% natural and organic coconut oil. Meaning it is more than safe to use on your baby to keep their skin soft and help alleviate any itching from dry skin conditions.

Both of my children have mild forms of eczema and so I’m very careful about the products I will use on their skin for risk of an outbreak. When I was offered the chance to try Kokoso, I did my research and decided it looked great. It’s even better than I first thought though.

Kokoso coconut oil comes in a tub and is solid white when at room temperature. All you need to do is scoop a small amount out onto your hands and gently run for it to melt and become as smooth as oil (I tend to scrape some up using my fingernail).

I started using this as a nappy rash cream and it certainly helped Benjamin’s little bottom. However, I tried it one night as an all over body balm after his bath and haven’t gone back. It has left his skin feeling really soft and he doesn’t tend to itch as much as he did before.

If ever I think he or Isabella have a dry itchy patch of skin, I just rub a tiny amount of Kokoso on the affected area and it helps alleviate the itch as well as softens the skin.
I have to admit, I’ve been reaping the benefits of this luxurious coconut oil too. Not only does it keep my hands soft in this chilly weather but I recently burnt my foot quite badly and have been using it on the new skin. I have found the coconut oil stops the skin from drying too quickly and it doesn’t get that tight, itchy and uncomfortable sensation anymore. I use it twice a day and think it’s really helped moisturise it. Picture one is before use and picture two is after using for a week. Obviously some of this is purely down to it healing but I do feel it’s helped keep it soft and smooth.

The oil itself is non greasy and melts into your skin meaning you won’t get grease marks on your baby’s clothes. It smells beautiful too leaving a fresh smell on baby (especially good for using after really stinky nappies!).

This is such a great product that is really versatile and can be used for so many things; I even use it as a lip balm to rid my face of chapped lips. I love this product and will continue to use it on both my children and myself. I haven’t been swimming since I have received Kokoso but I think this would be perfect to use after being in the pool too!

Kokoso costs £7.99 for 168g pot but it really does last and last so is much better value than the lotions you can buy that use chemicals.
