Fisher-Price Dance & Move Beat BowWow: Review

Benjamin has always loved a bit of a bop and will often stop what he’s doing to dance if he hears any sort of music. So when we were offered the chance to review the Fisher-Price Dance & Move Beat BowWow activity toy, I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity.

Eagerly, the two children waited for me to open the box and get BowWow out. As soon as he was out, they immediately started dancing and interacting.

The Toy

The Dance and Move Beat BowWow toy has a large multi-colour LED grid tummy & wiggling ears & head which grabs the children’s attention and keeps them entertained. I could see how this would be a perfect introduction to dancing and moving for young babies. Even though it’s recommended for 9 months plus, I think it’s fine to use this with a slightly younger baby too.

Easy to use

The best feature for Benjamin is that he can activate Beat BowWow easily himself by pushing either of the two buttons on his paws. When the toy is activated, music and lights begin and your little one will get themselves grooving.

Isabella and Benjamin have loved the addition of Beat BowWow and will often get him out for a boogie, especially in the morning and just before bed.

There are 25+ learning songs, tunes and phrases. As well as lights and sounds, Beat BowWow moves his ears, head and tail and encourages your little one to wiggle along too. Benjamin loves grabbing BowWow’s ears and tail and thinks it’s hilarious when he doesn’t quite grab them in time before he moves again.

By interacting with Beat BowWow, your baby learns cause and effect as well helping to strengthen your baby’s gross and fine motor skills.

This really is a fun toy for both my 4 and 1 year old. Isabella adds a new element to playing with Beat BowWow as she also uses imaginative play. She will take BowWow as her pet and will feed and care for him as well as dance to his music. Benjamin, while watching his big sister engage in imaginative play and take it all on board, is still happy to use BowWow to dance to.

This is a really fantastic toy and I would highly recommend it.
