Go Glam Nail Stamper : Review

If you have a daughter who is obsessed with painting their nails, then the Go Glam Nail Stamper is a must have for the Christmas lists! Isabella will ask ALL THE TIME if she is allowed to have her nails painted and we often say no because she’s not allowed it at school. However without fail, she will do it every school holiday and occasionally for weekends. Well, when I surprised her with the Go Glam Nail Stamper, I thought she was going to explode. She was sooooo excited to try it out.

We were lucky enough to be sent the Go Glam Nail Stamper Set with an additional Pattern Pack to test out and honestly, it was like all Isabella’s Christmases had come at once. As soon as we opened the boxes and investigated the packs, we got straight to work.

What’s included?

In the main pack you receive: 1X nail stamper, 5X different pattern films, 2X nail colour varnishes and 1X nail varnish top coat along with a super handy and wonderfully glittery Go Glam bag to keep everything together neatly. I love the added detail that the Go Glam bag has the same pattern on as the nail transfers!

How it Works

The first thing you need to do is ensure your nails are clean without any old nail varnish on. Once they are clean, you can begin painting them the colour of your choice. Isabella wanted to try them both so we went for a blue and purple mix. Once you have painted the nails, you need to allow 5 minutes for them to dry. What you are looking for is a touch dry nail that has a little bit of tackiness to it. If the nails are too wet, when you go to put the transfer on, it won’t stick and instead will just pull off the nail varnish. The process was a little tricky to start with we soon got the hang of it.

Once we were off, we were on a role. The stamper is really easy to use so Isabella would be able to do a friend’s nails for example but I wouldn’t recommend doing your own as it’s a little too fiddly for that. We used it as a lovely mother and daughter time and made out that we were at a nail bar. It was lots of fun.

The Nail Stamper

I really love the concept behind the nail stamper; you can get a super sweet look on your nails in a really short period of time. This is perfect for younger girls who won’t often stay still enough for a real manicure. The stamper itself is a very easy concept. The film is meant to wind itself on once you push the stamp onto your nail. We found this didn’t always happen and I would either gently tap the stamper button until it wound itself on or I would just eject the film cartridge and wind it on like you would an old cassette.

Isabella absolutely loved this Go Glam kit and even insisted she do one of my nails.
