Cirque Berserk!

If you’re looking for something amazing to do with the kids this Easter break instead of standing in the rain or getting cabin fever inside, have you thought about Cirque Berserk? We were thrilled to be able to see them in action today and thought we’d share it with you!

Cirque Berserk

It isn’t just an ordinary circus, their aim is to combine centuries-old skills and traditions with some West End glamour and performance! The show is an eclectic mix of age-old circus skills as well as more contemporary acts that offer non-stop thrills. There will be something in the show to wow you all. Zippos Circus created this spectacular to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the invention of the circus.

The diverse group of performers come from as far afield as Kenya, Cuba, Mongolia, Brazil, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, France as well as the UK. Having such a varied group of performers working together has ensured the performance is completely Berserkus.

So much skill involved

All but one of the performances are completed without the use of any safety devices; they rely on skill alone. If this doesn’t get you on the edge of your seat, I’m not sure what will. It is clear to see just how hard all the performers have worked to make this show exhilarating and it will blow you and your little ones away guaranteed.

This show is suitable for children aged 5 and over. Although we were lucky enough to take Benjamin along, I can totally understand why young children might find it a little scary; the noise and some of the acts are a little hair raising. Isabella had an absolute blast and was completely captivated by all the performers. Her favourite being Jackie’s amazing acrobatics while Benjamin enjoyed the Timbuktu Tumblers and the Bolas Argentinas.

Cirque Berserk are performing at the Wycombe Swan until the 15th April as they continue their 40 week UK tour before heading off to London so make sure you get in their quickly and book your tickets so you don’t miss out.

If you want to take a peek at some of the utterly amazing performers, I’ve included some of our favourite pictures!
