What to do with Kids in London

*collaborative post*

With the Easter and Summer Holidays fast approaching, I’ve started looking into activities to do in London. The children love going to London and we always have so much fun.

A few years ago for my daughter’s birthday we took her to see The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre and it was magical. She was captivated through the entire thing. She was a little confused at first when the audience would clap after each song but soon realised it wasn’t finished! You can get your tickets through best-tickets.co.uk

Although I’d love to take Benjamin to the Lion King too, I’m not sure he’s quite old enough yet – I don’t think he’d enjoy it quite as much as something like Disney on Ice or Dragons and Mythical Beasts (which is much shorter than The Lion King). These are shows which are going to be on in London during the summer.

Something that I’d really love to try with the children is Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. They will be showing 101 Dalmatians from May and Dragons and Mythical Beasts in August.

Visiting iconic landmarks with children can also be lots of fun. Last Summer we went on a lovely walk across Tower Bridge and marvelled at the magnificence. We strolled past the Tower of London but sadly didn’t have the time to go in this time round.

Earlier that day we had spent some of the morning on the Golden Hinde and learnt all about Sir Frances Drake.

We loved strolling along the river and people watching before going to see the London Eye. Although we didn’t go in the pods as it was too cloudy, the children loved seeing the largest observation wheel in Europe!

Indoor Attractions

There are fantastic indoor attractions all along this stretch of London too. The London Aquarium is always lots of fun and the children love going.

There’s also The London Dungeons which we haven’t done with the children yet and I’d also love to try out Shrek’s Adventure.
