Father’s Day – Practical Gifts Your Dad Will Love

Father’s Day is almost here and I’ve been thinking about some gifts you could get that would actually get used.

Sometimes it’s easy to get lured into buying Father’s Day merchandise with cute pictures or funny jokes on and while there is definitely a place for them, I feel the need to find some gifts that my husband might actually use this year instead of collect dust in the corner of the study.

So with that in mind, I set about thinking of useful items for our upcoming holiday and found these stainless steel water bottles from S’well– I know, it doesn’t sound like a wonderful gift at all but when it’s scorching hot and all you want is an ice cold drink, he’ll have one at his side. These water bottles keep your drinks cold for up to 24 hours so will be perfect for summer fun!

For the music loving man that he is, we’ve also got an Amazon Echo so he’ll always be able to play the music he loves (that is until the children override him!). He can call make hands-free calls leaving him able to cook the dinner and can also keep up with the latest sports scores.

Next, I’ve got the Tile Sport – a compact and waterproof Bluetooth tracker with double the range (up to 200 feet) and loudness of the previous models so he’ll never misplace his keys or phone again!

In previous years we’ve bought t-shirts and the children have drawn on them and we’ve also done the customary socks and funny BBQ aprons but this year, I thought it would be nice to give some more practical items.

What’s the best or worst gift you’ve ever been given?
