Holiday ready with UK Swimwear

Recently we went on our first family holiday as a four and not too surprisingly, I didn’t have a swimsuit or bikini that fit. Luckily for me I was given the opportunity to review this absolutely gorgeous bikini from UK Swimwear.

From the moment I saw it, I was instantly attracted to the bright colourful pattern on the Dolores Cortes Dominica Bikini. It just screamed summer to me and instead of shying away from something that would make me stand out, I thought I’d try and embrace it instead.

Why this one?

Aside from the colourful print, I was attracted to the style. As someone who doesn’t have much on top, I always feel slightly more comfortable with moulded cups to give me a little bit more shape. The briefs were also a great fit for someone with a slightly bigger bottom and a bit of a mum tum. Being deeper, it hid some of the wobbly bits and made me feel well supported.

The bikini felt really well made and the fabric was lovely and soft but also thick (as it was fully lined) so it wasn’t going to go see-through as soon as I went into the water. The detailing was well thought out too – the clasp at the back wasn’t flimsy and plastic but solid and secure metal.

I was a little concerned that the sizing wasn’t going to work for me. Usually I buy separates because I’m bigger on the bottom than the top. Although the top obviously would have supported someone with a larger bust, I felt well supported in it and it didn’t gape when I went swimming.

After a week in the sun and only hand wash to use on it, I was really impressed with how clean and bright the fabric stayed. It didn’t dull or get stained from sun-cream. When home I washed it properly and it came up looking brand new again. It washed really well and kept its moulded shape.

The overall quality of this bikini is amazing and I really loved how it looked too. Although I had some pretty dodgy tan marks from wearing shorts pre-holiday, I felt great in this bikini and had some lovely comments about it too.

I was given this bikini for the purpose of this review. However, all views and opinions are my own.
